The breakfast at the hotel was delicious with the crab miso soup. The overall atmosphere was tranquil, however some staff members were a little rude. The location was stunning and super - ease of access to Sengokuhara.
As for me, the area was unattractive.

Could be better, read on
A two-night stay offered a charming experience but was marred by some flaws. While the room was clean and spacious, sleep was interrupted by noise from the rain hitting the roof. The in-house meals were good, yet the service felt rushed at times. Still, the location is tranquil, away from the crowds.

Early check-in, parking across the street. Attractive, beautiful unit with tatami style, tub, for example. Local area, remote location close to Odawara which many Shinkansen pass, bus stops to both Hakone-Yumoto station and Gotemba station, and Hakone

Really good food and relaxing onsen experience
I really enjoyed the private onsen, serene and beautifully set among bamboo trees. Dinner was a highlight with a variety of traditional Japanese dishes that were both delicious and plentiful. The staff was cute. Though the location requires a bit of travel time from major attractions, the experience was completely worth it.

Shared bathrooms were clean and accessible most of the time.
The private onsens are ridiculously small and uncomfortable. It's hard to relax when you're squished into a tiny bathtub. For the price, I expected better bathroom amenities than just a toothbrush and a razor.

The stay was fantastic, especially with the beautiful outdoor baths that offered a stunning view. The traditional Japanese meals served for breakfast and dinner were a highlight, showcasing a good variety of flavors and presentations. The location was very convenient, with easy access to local attractions and transportation right at the doorstep. The staff was accommodating, even providing a larger yukata that perfectly fit my height upon check-in, which was a thoughtful touch.

The spacious room with traditional decor was very good, offering comfort and cleanliness. Dining options like freshly prepared salads were highlights. The private onsen added a serene touch to the stay. The long bus ride from Odawara due to traffic was a drawback, and the distance from main attractions may be inconvenient for some. The connection issues should be considered when planning your trip.

The private onsens here were a real treat, and I loved the delicious Japanese breakfast, it was honestly some of the best food I've ever tasted! They offer such a peaceful experience with cozy traditional rooms and the option for an open-air bath. It's a nice way to unwind. Just a heads-up, the shared bathroom requires some getting used to, but with everything else being so great, it didn't bother me much 🛁
